Where to Grow Wheatgrass?

Wheatgrass needs indirect sunlight. In direct sunlight it will quickly dry out. You can grow wheatgrass inside or outside. It does get a bit messy inside, but it can be done.
Where to Grow Wheatgrass?
If you have access to a covered balcony that does not get direct sunlight, that is your best option. I have been growing it on my apartment's balcony for many years with great success. I do live in Los Angeles, California. If you live on other parts of the country, you will have to grow it inside during the colder months.

The optimum condition for wheatgrass is between 60 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It will grow under 60 degrees but it will take much longer. It may take 2 or more weeks for it to grow. In this case you will have to plant more frequently to have ample supply. Wheatgrass will also grow in greater than 75 degree temperatures. If this is the case be sure to water it more frequently. If it is extremely hot, you may need to water the wheatgrass twice a day.
